Job Title: KYC Analyst
Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408 (Onsite role)
Duration: 5 months contract to start
Pay-rate: $30-$37/hr.

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented KYC Analyst to support the annual Know Your Customer (KYC) review process for a growing energy trading firm. This role ensures that customer and counterparty information is collected, validated, and maintained in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
The KYC Analyst partners closely with Commercial, Credit, Trading Operations, Legal/Compliance, and Risk teams to maintain accurate records, complete periodic reviews on time, and support a strong financial crime control framework.

What You’ll Do:

Support annual KYC refresh and periodic reviews for customers and counterparties

Collect and review corporate documentation (formation documents, ownership structures, tax forms, authorized signers, etc.)

Conduct sanctions, watchlist, PEP, and adverse media screening using approved tools

Validate beneficial ownership and control persons; escalate higher-risk findings

Maintain accurate and audit-ready KYC profiles in internal systems

Track review timelines, follow up on outstanding items, and meet completion deadlines

Apply risk-based standards to classify counterparties and recommend next steps

Assist with internal and external audit requests

Partner with Commercial, Credit, and Compliance teams to resolve exceptions

Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or related field (or equivalent experience)

1–4 years of experience in KYC, AML, compliance operations, client onboarding, counterparty risk, credit operations, or similar function

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment

Clear written communication skills

Proficiency in Excel (filters, sorting, pivots) and comfort working in CRM or workflow systems
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services, banking, commodities, fintech, or energy trading

Familiarity with corporate structures (LLCs, partnerships, trusts)

Exposure to sanctions screening or AML tools

Understanding of beneficial ownership and financial crime risk concepts
