An AVP/VP BSA Officer opportunity with a globally active financial institution that is continuing to strengthen its U.S. financial crimes compliance framework. This role plays a key part in overseeing and enhancing the Branch’s BSA/AML, CTF, OFAC, and sanctions compliance program, while ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and enterprise-wide risk governance standards.
This is a full-time role focused on BSA/AML and sanctions program implementation and advisory, where you would manage day-to-day compliance with BSA/AML/CTF/OFAC regulations, provide subject matter expertise to the business, and help design and maintain risk-based controls aligned with the Branch’s financial crime risk profile. You would work closely with senior compliance leadership, Front Line Units, and Branch Management to support regulatory change management, issue remediation, training initiatives, and ongoing program enhancements.
The position also involves partnering with business units on internal and external findings, supporting new product and activity risk assessments, participating in compliance technology initiatives, and providing regular updates to senior management. There is meaningful exposure to regulatory engagement, governance, and third-party risk management from a compliance perspective.
Overview:

Implement and oversee the BSA/AML/CTF/OFAC compliance program within the Front Line Unit.

Manage the day-to-day adherence to BSA/AML, CTF, and OFAC sanctions regulations, as well as applicable internal policies and procedures.

Serve as a subject matter expert, advising on the design and implementation of risk-based controls aligned with the Branch’s financial crime and sanctions risk profile, while maintaining appropriate independence.

Maintain, update, and communicate branch-level compliance procedures and operational guidance to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and the Branch’s specific money laundering, terrorist financing, and illicit activity risks.

Maintain open communication with branch staff by providing regulatory updates, policy changes, and insight into emerging compliance risks; deliver targeted compliance training tailored to business unit activities and individual roles.

Partner with business units to develop and implement corrective action plans addressing internal and external findings, ensuring timely remediation in line with established target dates.
