Senior Associate or VP of Compliance, title TBD (New York, NY):
Our client, a global alternative investment and insurance-focused financial group is seeking to expand its compliance function. The Senior Associate / Vice President, Compliance (AML/KYC) will be responsible for administering and further developing the firm’s investor and transactional Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) program. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert on AML/KYC policies, procedures, and best practices, while also contributing to broader compliance initiatives across the organization.This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The position is based onsite in a major U.S. financial hub.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and enhance AML/KYC policies and procedures
-
Review and assess AML/KYC documentation across the investment lifecycle
-
Evaluate screening results and escalate potential issues as appropriate
-
Maintain accurate AML/KYC records and documentation
-
Respond to third-party AML/KYC and sanctions-related inquiries
-
Support technology and process improvements related to AML/KYC
-
Monitor regulatory developments impacting AML/KYC requirements
-
Deliver internal AML/KYC training
-
Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments
-
Perform testing and monitoring aligned with the annual compliance plan
-
Conduct initial and ongoing third-party due diligence

Support Code of Ethics and related compliance tasks

Assist with additional compliance initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
-
5+ years of AML/KYC experience, preferably within alternative investment or financial services
-
Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills
-
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
-
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
-
Comfortable interacting across seniority levels in a professional environment

Proactive, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing in dynamic settings
-
Bachelor’s degree required
-
CAMS certification preferred but not required
