Senior Consultant – Risk & Regulatory

You will help to build our expertise and guarantee the quality of delivery to ensure market-leading practices for our Hong Kong office, taking into account the global nature of our organization and our clients.
Responsibilities:

Contribute to engagements with leading banks and financial institutions

Deliver high‑quality client engagements, taking ownership of workstreams and deliverables while meeting agreed timelines and budget expectations

Support the delivery of regulatory and risk consulting projects, including AML/KYC, regulatory compliance reviews, internal controls assessments, policy and procedure development, governance frameworks, and broader risk and compliance advisory engagements

Participate in business development initiatives, including thought leadership, proposal development, and client presentations

Share consulting best practices and contribute to the continuous development of the team
Specific areas of expertise:
Ideally, you would have project experience in one or more of these areas:
Regulatory compliance review and advisory in HKMA and SFC regulations
AML, transaction monitoring, data privacy (e.g. PDPO, GDPR, PIPL), common reporting standards advisory
Operational risk management
Third party risk management
Information security risk management
Adoption of AI for compliance automation and/or RegTech
Key Requirements:

University graduate or above in accounting, business, finance or related disciplines

3+ years of relevant experience in risk and regulatory compliance within a reputable consulting firm. Those with less experience could be considered for consultant level.

Familiar with HKMA and SFC regulations

Holder of professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, FRM, CAMS, CISA , CIA and/or other related qualification is an advantage

Good project management and stakeholder management skills

Strong interpersonal, logical and analytical skills

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues

Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills

Fluency in spoken and written English and Cantonese is a must. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
