Senior Associate – Financial Crime Risk

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Risk and Compliance team as a Senior Associate – Financial Crime Risk. This is a high-impact role of the financial crime Risk function, with a focus on detecting and preventing fraudulent activity, analyzing transactional data, and continuously improving our risk management capabilities in the fast-paced world of digital payments.

What You Will Do:

• Analyse the merchant onboarding and transaction data to identify patterns indicative of financial crime, fraud, or suspicious behavior
• Development and refinement of analytical models and rules to detect anomalies and mitigate risk
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure early identification and resolution of potential financial crime issues
• Own the development and maintenance of dashboards and exception reports to track key fraud/risk indicators
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial crime trends and alerts to internal stakeholders
• Identify process gaps and recommend enhancements to strengthen financial crime prevention controls
• Lead initiatives to automate manual processes using Python or relevant tools, improving efficiency and scalability
• Contribute to design and implementation of new tools, policies, and workflows to address emerging fraud vectors

What You Will Need:

• 2–4 years in financial crime Merchant Risk, fraud prevention or Financial Crime
• Strong background in data analysis, anomaly detection, and root cause investigation
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets
• Ability to think critically and independently solve complex problems in ambiguous situations
• High level of accuracy and diligence when reviewing large datasets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
