About the Role
The Transfer Agency (TA) Department provides fund administration services to various fund management companies. It covers a wide range of shareholder servicing functions including transaction processing, reporting, AML compliance, registration, and payments.
The department is responsible for client and investor document management, quality checks on transactions, and updating client registers based on investor instructions.
This role involves performing Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities to ensure that:
- Client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met or exceeded.
- Regulatory and compliance requirements are effectively fulfilled.
Note: Candidates must be flexible to work in a 24x7 environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct quality reviews for all entity types including corporates, foundations/charities, institutional investors, designated bodies, etc., in line with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and guidelines.
- Document quality review results and suggest remedial actions.
- Provide clear feedback and coaching to associates where necessary.
- Demonstrate knowledge of AML guidance across multiple jurisdictions such as Cayman, Delaware, Australia, Ireland, Bermuda, etc.
- Operate screening tools like World Check, Pythagoras, LexisNexis, etc.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications—Excel and presentation skills are advantageous.
- Possess working knowledge of FATCA/CRS reporting and review of US tax forms (W-9, W-8BEN, W-8IMY, withholding statements, etc.).
- Maintain well-organized records and conduct remediation activities based on investor risk ratings.
- Work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Deliver required reports on time without reminders.
- Maintain a positive attitude and team spirit.
- Prior experience in Transfer Agency functions is an added advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (preferred).
- 1–10 years of relevant experience in Transfer Agency processing.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts based on business needs.
