We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Risk Containment Unit (RCU), Fraud Control Unit (FCU), and Vigilance functions within a fast-growing financial services environment focused on micro Loan Against Property (LAP) lending. This leadership role is responsible for strengthening the organization's risk management framework by implementing proactive controls, robust investigative processes, and an automation-driven risk monitoring model. The position requires a strong understanding of financial risk, fraud detection, and field investigation governance to identify vulnerabilities and prevent potential losses before they occur. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across credit, operations, and compliance to ensure that risk containment strategies are embedded throughout the lending lifecycle. The role also involves building a strong risk culture, designing scalable risk processes, and deploying technology-enabled controls to detect irregularities early. As the head of the function, you will guide teams responsible for risk verification, fraud prevention, and vigilance operations while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal governance policies. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Risk Containment Unit (RCU), Fraud Control Unit (FCU), and vigilance functions across the organization

Design and implement robust risk containment strategies to minimize fraud, operational risks, and credit-related losses

Develop field investigation governance frameworks to ensure effective verification and monitoring processes

Establish preventive controls to identify potential fraud patterns and operational gaps within the lending ecosystem

Implement automation-driven risk monitoring systems to enhance detection capabilities and operational efficiency

Collaborate with credit, underwriting, compliance, and operations teams to strengthen risk assessment processes

Oversee field investigation teams responsible for background verification, document validation, and risk audits

Analyze risk trends and fraud patterns to develop proactive mitigation strategies

Build scalable systems and processes that enable early identification of operational or financial risks

Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal risk management policies

Drive internal vigilance initiatives and investigate suspected fraudulent activities

Prepare risk reports and insights for senior leadership to support strategic decision-making

What Makes You a Great Fit

Minimum 7+ years of experience in risk management, fraud control, or risk containment within financial services or NBFCs

Strong understanding of Risk Containment Unit (RCU) frameworks and fraud prevention practices

Experience in managing field investigation teams and operational risk processes

Deep knowledge of lending operations, particularly within secured lending or LAP products

Proven ability to design and implement risk control frameworks and governance structures

Experience working with automation tools or analytics systems for fraud detection and risk monitoring
