Responsibilities

Maintain and continuously enhance the firm’s AML/CFT policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Ensure the AML program is risk-based and proportionate to the firm’s products, customers, geographies, and delivery channels.

Act as the Money-Laundering-Reporting Officer for Triple A with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)

Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of transaction monitoring systems, rules, and alert management processes. Ensure alerts are appropriately investigated, dispositioned, and documented.

Provide oversight and guidance on: onboarding standards; KYC requirements; high-risk customer reviews; sanctions and PEP controls; Approve or review escalated high-risk cases where required.

Determine whether suspicious transaction reports (STRs/SARs) should be filed with the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).

File STR with SPF and file the monthly / half-yearly / yearly report with MAS, Ensure timely, accurate, and well-documented reporting.

Provide regular reporting to senior management and/ the Board/audit and risk committee on: key AML risks and trends; suspicious activity metrics; monitoring effectiveness; regulatory developments.

Promote a strong compliance and financial crime risk culture across the firm. Develop and deliver AML/CFT training programs for staff, including targeted training for higher-risk functions.
Requirements

8 years + compliance (transaction monitoring) related experience, bachelor in law / accounting / finance related education

Must be familiar with blockchain analytic tools e.g. Elliptic / Chainanalysis, etc
Nice to have

A good understanding of the payment industry

ACAMS or ICA certification

A keen personal interest in Web3 and digital currencies.
Important: We expect a hands-on person who could work with the team together, e.g. discuss the complex case, do some research, dismiss the alerts, not just manage the transaction monitoring team.
