Position Summary
The Conflicts Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s risk management and new business intake processes. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive conflict of interest reviews, performing due diligence screenings, and supporting a range of compliance‑related functions. Areas of responsibility include new matter intake, lateral onboarding reviews, securities‑related clearance processes, NDA coordination, and regulatory checks (such as AML and sanctions screening).
Primary Job Functions

Provide timely responses to all incoming conflict search requests.

Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding conflict results, gather any missing information, and confirm requirements with the requesting team member.

Maintain and update conflict database records; conduct corporate research utilizing both internal systems and external resources to ensure accuracy.

Consult with attorneys or the Conflicts Committee to appropriately assess and resolve conflicts for matters such as potential clients, lateral hires, and prospective engagements.

Maintain conflict waivers within the database when applicable.

Perform corporate and organizational research using online databases and reference materials.

Review and analyze feedback from attorneys regarding potential or actual conflicts, providing clear follow‑up as needed.

Create new client and matter numbers within the firm’s systems.

Safeguard all confidential, proprietary, privileged, or sensitive information handled during the course of conflicts and compliance work.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the firm’s internal securities tracking procedures and collaborate with leadership to streamline and refine related processes.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex business relationships and identify potential conflicts or risk considerations.

Familiarity with law firm conflict processes, lateral conflicts clearance, AML protocols, and sanctions screening is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work professionally with attorneys, management, staff, and external parties.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and manage a high‑volume workload.

Proficiency with relevant software and systems, such as Intapp, document management tools, Microsoft Office applications, and financial or matter‑management systems.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of two years of experience working in a legal environment.

At least two years of experience working with
Intapp
or similar conflicts/intake software preferred.
