We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Compliance & Governance team in New York. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and oversight of the company’s compliance program and governance framework.
Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance & Governance, you will support senior leadership in monitoring regulatory requirements, maintaining governance standards, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance
•Monitor and analyze relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to the Company, ensuring internal policies and procedures remain up to date.
•Conduct horizon scanning activities and analysis of global regulatory updates applicable to parent company and its portfolio companies
•Prepare weekly and monthly regulatory updates summarizing key updates, including USSA’s analysis and any applicable recommendations
Compliance Assessments & Investigations
•Support the execution of compliance assessments and internal investigations, ensuring all activities align with recognized industry best practices and standards.
Compliance Management Platform
•Manage requests, disclosures, and exceptions
•Track ongoing compliance analytics, escalating trends, patterns, and root causes
•Prepare quarterly and annual compliance reports, summarizing key metrics for senior leadership
Compliance Risk Profile
•Track remediation actions initiated by leadership or risk team and help ensure follow-through and documentation.
•Assist in preparing compliance input for quarterly risk review, audit sessions, and leadership briefings.
Monitoring, Testing & Controls Oversight
•Perform compliance monitoring activities including documentation review, control evaluation, and escalation reporting.
•Conduct periodic testing of to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
•Conduct root cause analysis on trends and patterns.
•Prepare compliance monitoring and testing reports and summaries for senior leadership.
Employee Education
•Serve as a resource for employees regarding compliance obligations and regulatory requirements.
•Develop and deliver training programs to increase awareness and promote adherence to compliance standards.
Vendor Engagement & Oversight
•Monitor USSA’s external engagements, including vendor spend tracking through weekly reports.
•Coordinate with Procurement to validate and confirm vendor spend data.
•Conduct financial crime checks using LSEG WorldCheck.
•Support business development teams on conducting due diligence on external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in compliance, governance, or related field.
•Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and offer practical solutions.
•Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze root causes and implement effective resolutions.
•Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with leadership and staff at all levels.
•Demonstrated experience drafting, implementing, and enforcing compliance policies and procedures.
•Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
•Strong ethical judgment and the ability to navigate complex situations with professionalism.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
•Familiarity with ACA Compliance Alpha and LSEG WorldCheck (preferred, not required).

The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history, job-related knowledge, qualifications, and skills.
