This role serves as the BSA/AML Officer for a financial institution expanding into high‑risk areas such as correspondent banking, international payments, and complex digital‑asset-adjacent customer profiles. The position leads the design, enhancement, and daily operation of the bank's BSA/AML program, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include KYC/KYB oversight, CDD/EDD processes, sanctions screening, suspicious activity reporting, risk assessments, audits, training, and continuous program improvement. The officer acts as the bank's subject‑matter expert, advising senior management, interacting with regulators and auditors, and driving strong compliance culture across the organization.
Requirements

5-7 years as a BSA Officer, including experience in foreign correspondent banking or high‑volume fintech payment environments

Strong knowledge of banking regulations, BSA/AML/OFAC frameworks, and compliance operations

Experience with KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and SAR/CTR processes

Proven ability to manage regulatory exams, audits, risk assessments, and policy updates

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present professionally to senior leadership and regulators

Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills with a high degree of confidentiality

Bachelor's degree required; JD, graduate degree, CRCM or ACAMS certification preferred or eligibility to sit for exams
