AVP KYC Training Team

We are looking for Manager/Assistant Vice President - KYC Training Team

Position Purpose

Responsible to manage the daily operations/workflow relating to various client/trading portfolios across CIB business, ensuring high-quality service to internal and external clients of BNP Paribas in the three departments of CEP, Global Markets, and ALMT Operations.

The role requires an understanding of investment banking operations, collaboration with the team to achieve common goals, devising innovative problem-solving strategies, and planning/prioritizing work efficiently.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities can be in any of the following departments managing daily transaction processing operations:

• CEP: KYC Operations, Client Referential, Client Services, OCRM, and AML transaction monitoring.
• GMO – Processing & Support: Trade Processing, DEC Operations, Clearing and Settlement Operations, Instrument Data Ops Referential, External Reconciliations, Asset Servicing & Tax, Inventory Management, Payments, Client Services, Post-Settlement Reconciliation, Regulatory Reporting, and other transversal services.
• Product Control: PNL and Valuations Control, Reconciliation & Control, Compression, OTC Documentation, Trading and Portfolio Controls, OTC, LD Trade Validation, and Securities Trade Validation & Docs.

Key Duties

1. Maintain effective communication channels with peer groups.
2. Collaborate with internal teams and escalate unresolved issues promptly.
3. Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-training to share best practices and ideas.
4. Respond to client queries and front office queries.
5. Liaise with trading desk and related stakeholders to escalate any trade or booking issues.
6. Perform day-to-day trade & position reconciliation; analyze breaks from reconciliation reports to ensure control and assess risks on outstanding breaks.
7. Validate trades in the booking systems.
8. Perform standardized and specific controls as per control plan and agreed schedule.
9. Provide standardized and specific reports as per requirement and agreed schedule.
10. Contribute to transversal projects coordinated by projects teams.
11. Contribute to risk control framework: end-of-day risk limits, intraday risk limits, and trader mandates.
12. Ensure that daily end-of-day/intraday limits and mandate breaches are investigated, understood, escalated according to global policy, and documented in summary reports and dashboards.
13. Summarize and report outstanding issues to global V&RC management, coordinating resolutions.
14. Validate official economical P&L figures and related P&L explains; investigate discrepancies with front office predict.
15. Participate in global projects, local projects, and propose productivity improvements within the team.
16. Be accountable for end-to-end transaction management lifecycle for respective client coverage.
17. Collaborate with technology/support team to identify internal and external technology improvement opportunities.
18. Perform due diligence on institutional clients across all risks for SDD, CDD, and EDD files.
19. Perform required KYC screenings on customers, documenting information as per global KYC procedure.
20. Process reconciliations vis-à-vis the clearing house (trades, positions, premiums, initial margin, variation margin, fees, etc.) for various Asian markets.
21. Contribute ideas to improve the process by identifying appropriate control measures.

Technical & Behavioural Competencies

• University graduate in Finance or Operations.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets, Financial Instruments, and Investment Banking.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
